Had to choose between a total site dig or just the main chamber at a Roman villa near Bath

We went with the chamber first and found a complete mosaic floor under just 2 feet of dirt. Anyone have tips for convincing a project lead to change the dig plan mid-season?

Read a case study where a team found something similar and framed it as a "conservation emergency" to get more funding. Might work here.

Framing it as a "conservation emergency" feels like a stretch, @margaret_bennett3. That case study probably had way worse data, like a population crash. Our situation is bad, but calling it an emergency just for cash seems like it hurts real crises.
