Getting really tired of how long it takes for regular people to actually see finds.
Read an article about some incredible pottery fragments they dug up last year. Got super excited. Went to look for them online, maybe a 3D model or something. Nothing. Called the local museum that supposedly got the stuff. They said it's in processing and not on display. Might be for a future exhibit, maybe. This happens all the time. They make a big announcement about a discovery, then it vanishes into a university basement for a decade. Feels like the coolest parts of history are locked away from the people who care about it. Makes the whole field seem kind of closed off.

But isn't that time needed to do the research right? Rushing could mean the exhibit isn't as good when it opens!

Six months worked for the Tate Modern, @hugo50. Good planning beats extra time every time!
