Appreciation post: My field notebook took a swim in a creek near Flagstaff
I was mapping a small Pueblo site last Tuesday when I slipped on a wet rock and my whole bag went into the water. My notebook with two weeks of notes was soaked. I laid every page out on a flat rock in the sun for about three hours, and amazingly, the pencil notes didn't run. Has anyone else had a close call with their field records and found a good way to save them?
