Serious question, did anyone else hit a wall at exactly 50 removals this season?
I do residential removals in central Ohio and back in March I counted up my job sheets and realized I'd already done 50 takedowns since January. That number stopped me cold because two seasons ago I did 50 in a full calendar year. Nothing changed on my end, same crew of three, same chip truck with the bad starter, same 12 inch chipper that eats belts. I think the storm work in April and May just never let up, plus every other outfit in the county is booked out six weeks so the calls keep rolling downhill to whoever answers. What surprised me is my body held up fine, it was my sharpening routine that fell apart. I was touching up the 461 every third tree instead of every tree and cutting slow without knowing it. Curious if other folks track their yearly removal count or if I'm the only one keeping a tally like this.
