Rant: The time a client's pet parrot cost me an extra 3 hours on a tree removal
I was taking down a big old oak in somebody's backyard near Austin when their tame parrot flew right into the middle of the canopy and refused to come down. Had to stop the saw, climb up with a blanket, and coax the damn bird out while the owner filmed the whole thing for Instagram. Anyone else ever have to pause a job for an unexpected animal rescue?

Three hours though? Come on man, that bird probably would have come down on its own once it got bored or hungry. I get pausing the saw for safety but chasing a parrot around with a blanket for three hours sounds like you were just going along with the homeowner's Instagram moment. Could have just sat down, cracked a beer, and waited ten minutes.

You ever see those videos of people trying to get a cat out of a tree? My buddy spent two hours with a laser pointer and a ladder before the thing just hopped down for a nap.
