Hit 50 feet of climbing rope retired this season, which felt like a lot until I did the math
That's from just three primary climbing lines I use for removals. Each one gets inspected and logged, and hitting that mark made me really think about wear and tear. I'm on a two-year replacement cycle for my 1/2 inch lines now, but maybe that's pushing it. How often are you guys actually retiring your ropes, not just when they look fuzzy?

Two years seems overly cautious if your logs show minimal damage.
