Dropped $340 on a chipper knife sharpening jig that dulled my blades worse than hand filing
I run a small crew out of Bend and thought a $340 jig would save me time touching up the knives on my Vermeer 6 inch chipper. After two sharpenings the blades came back with uneven bevels and the chips were stringy, so I paid a shop $60 to fix what the jig wrecked. Has anyone here actually gotten a jig like that to work, or am I better off just buying spare knife sets and swapping them?
