Tired of people calling old cathode ray tube monitors 'worthless'
Last week I was at a garage sale in Springfield and picked up a Sony Trinitron from 1998 for 5 bucks. The seller said nobody wants these anymore and they're just e-waste. I hooked it up to my retro PC from the same era and the colors are way better than any modern LCD I've tried. People act like anything without HDMI is junk but they're missing the point... those CRTs have zero input lag for old games and the scan lines look natural. Has anyone else found a gem like this that everyone else just threw away?

Wait you used to be one of those people who thought all old TVs were trash? lol I was the same way honestly. I had a cheap flat screen Vizio and thought it was fine for retro gaming. Then I found a free 27 inch Trinitron on Facebook Marketplace and dragged it up three flights of stairs. Man that thing weighs like 150 pounds but once I hooked up my SNES with composite cables I finally understood what the fuss was about. The colors popped like nothing I'd ever seen and even the scanlines looked crisp and natural. Now I'm that guy who talks about RGB mods and aperture grilles like it's the most exciting thing ever.
