I finally counted my dead CR2032s and hit 47, that's a whole drawer of dead clock batteries

Check the drawer again, because clock batteries are usually LR44 or AA, not CR2032. Those coin cells mostly go in watches, key fobs, and small gadgets like that. 47 is still a lot though, so you might just have a bunch of tiny devices eating them.
