Rewound film into the cassette wrong on purpose, results made me question everything
I shot a roll of Portra 400 at a wedding gig in Portland last month and realized halfway through I forgot to rewind the leader before loading. So I finished the roll, rewound it fully, then loaded it back in and shot the other side over the same frames just to see what would happen. The double exposures actually look better than anything I've shot straight, so now I'm wondering if this is a happy accident or a real technique people use. Anyone else ever intentionally overlapping frames like this, or did I just get stupid lucky?

Tbh the "loaded it back in and shot the other side" part is the whole trick people use on purpose. You basically invented your own version of a pre-flash or a texture layer without knowing it. Next time try shooting the first pass way under, like -2 stops, so the second pass reads as the main shot and the first one just adds ghosts.
