Can we talk about using heat guns to fix warped camera leatherette?
Three years ago in Austin I tried boiling water to re-stick the leatherette on a Canon AE-1, but it just peeled off again. Last week I saw a guy on YouTube use a heat gun at 200 degrees and it bonded perfectly. Is the heat gun method really that much better than water for old adhesive, or am I missing a trick?

Yeah heat guns are way better, I had the same problem with boiling water before I tried it.

Heat gun works better but you gotta watch out for melting plastic.
