PSA: DSLR scanning beats flatbed for 35mm negatives.
I scanned a roll of Tri-X 400 last week on my Epson V600 then tried my friend's setup with a Nikon D750 and macro lens. The flatbed took 15 minutes per strip and gave me soft dusty scans while the digital camera method was done in 2 minutes with tack sharp results. Has anyone else made the switch from flatbed to camera scanning for 35mm and never looked back?

2 minutes for a whole roll? That's insane.

Ngl @sam530, some people just move fast in the kitchen, but that doesn't mean everyone has to. When I was learning, I focused on getting the technique right first, speed came way later. Taking a few extra minutes per roll can make a big difference in how they hold together too. Rushing it just ends up with rice falling apart on the plate, which nobody wants. Better to take your time and get it clean than race through it and end up with a mess.
