Found a roll of film from 1987 in a thrift store camera and developed it myself
Picked up an old Minolta X-700 at a garage sale last weekend for $15 and when I opened the back there was a half-used roll of Kodak Gold 200 still in it. Decided to shoot the rest and develop it at home using a C-41 kit I got online, fully expecting blank frames. The before was just dark empty frames on the old shots but the after was wild - a whole set of photos from someone's family reunion in Ohio circa 1987 came out with this crazy faded pastel look. Has anyone else found undeveloped film in a used camera and actually gotten results?

Dude, that's awesome. I bought a thrift store Yashica once and found a roll of film that turned out to be 30 pictures of someone's cat, so at least you got people. The faded pastel look is actually kinda cool, like a free vintage filter.

Every thrift store camera has a ghost story in it, @sagey69.
