Can we talk about the guy at the Austin camera swap who said skip the meter and just guess?
He said eyeballing exposure on my Pentax K1000 would teach me faster than a light meter, and after 6 rolls of Portra 400 came back mostly dialed in, I have to admit the old guy at the folding table was right, so now I'm wondering what other shortcuts I've been overthinking.
