Spent a full afternoon trying to get a motion sensor to stop false alarming in a sunroom with a skylight.
Turns out the angle of the sun at 3 PM was hitting the sensor's lens just right, and I finally fixed it by adding a small strip of electrical tape to block that specific beam, which took about 4 hours total to figure out.

Honestly that's the kind of problem solving I'm best at, where the answer is stupid simple but finding it makes you feel like a genius. I once spent a whole weekend debugging a network issue that was just a loose cable.

A loose cable once cost me two days and my last shred of dignity.

Yeah, @evanfox do you label your cables now? I tape a piece of colored string on each end. Red for power. Blue for data. Sounds dumb but saves hours. Learned that after chasing a flickering monitor for three days. Turned out the VGA screw was just loose.
