Just added a cellular backup to my system and it saved my butt this morning

Installed a cellular communicator on a DSC system last month for a client in a flood zone near Houston, and they had a hardline cut at 3 AM today during a storm. The alarm still called in and cops showed up before the homeowners even woke up. Anyone else finding cellular backups becoming a must-have for remote or storm-prone areas?

Ha! Nothing like a 3 AM surprise to remind people why they pay you. Guess that flood zone client got their money's worth.

Yeah, the "got their money's worth" part really hits home... nobody calls their adjuster at 3 AM unless something is seriously wrong. That flood zone client probably had water coming in fast and was panicking, not trying to be a hassle. It's rough because you know they're scared and just need someone to tell them it's gonna be okay, but at the same time your phone buzzing at that hour throws off your whole night. I've had those calls where you can hear the water sloshing in the background and you're just thinking "this is why they pay the premium" while you're still half asleep. Anyway, hope you got some rest after that one... those kinds of claims are never fun for anyone involved.
