Back in the day I'd just slap a glass break sensor on any wall, but last week in a big old house in St. Louis, one kept going off from a dog's squeaky toy across the room.

I mean, I learned you really gotta check the acoustics of the room and maybe use a dual-tech model, has anyone else run into that with the newer high-frequency toys?

Found out the hard way my own dog's new rubber chicken was a perfect 3400Hz test tone. Had to explain to a very confused client why his alarm hated my pet. Switched to a pet-immune dual-tech sensor for my own place after that.

Ever have one of those moments where tech just turns on you? @nora10, that's a wild story but honestly makes total sense. Guess we all learn the hard way sometimes.

Dual-tech with microwave won't solve a 3400Hz acoustic problem though, right?
