A quick chat with an electrician changed how I run wire for alarm panels
I was pulling cable for a new panel at a house in Portland last month and the homeowner's electrician buddy stopped by to grab his tools. He saw me struggling to fish through a double stud bay and just said try a 3/8ths drill bit with a flex bit extension next time. I had always used those fiberglass rods but that little tip saved me about an hour on the next three runs. Has anyone else gotten a trick from a different trade that stuck with you?

yo @charlie_fisher45 that tip is gold honestly. i tried something similar last week with my old truck and it actually worked way better than i expected. my buddy dan was all "no way that'll hold up" but guess what, it did. sometimes the simple stuff just hits different you know? reminds me of the time i fixed a leaky hose with zip ties and duct tape, ran like that for months. your tip's probably gonna save me a headache down the road.
