A client's system in Springfield went from 12 false alarms a year to zero after we swapped his motion sensors.
He had these old pet-immune sensors from 2010 in a house with two big dogs. The before and after was clear: constant calls from the monitoring center stopped completely. We put in the newer dual-tech models about eight months ago. Has anyone else seen this big a drop with just a sensor upgrade?

Remember those old pet-immune sensors were only good for pets under a certain weight, like 40 pounds. A lot of big dogs will easily trip them just by walking around. The newer dual-tech stuff needs both heat and movement, so it's way better at telling the difference between a dog and a person. That's almost certainly why the false alarms stopped, not just because the sensors are newer. The tech itself changed for the better.
