Was dead set against those ultrasonic cleaners for years, then my buddy ran a greasy fuel servo through his and I ate my words.
I watched 40 years of caked-on varnish dissolve in 15 minutes and now I'm trying to figure out which model fits under my bench without breaking the bank... anyone else finally cave on a tool they swore they'd never need?

Hold up, is it really that serious though? Tbh, I've seen guys go nuts over these things and then realize they still have to scrub half the junk out by hand anyway. Ngl, watching a video of one working is impressive and all, but how often are you really cleaning a fuel servo compared to just wiping down some garden tools? Honestly feels like another thing that'll sit in the corner gathering dust after the first week.

Quote you saying "watch it sit in the corner" because that's exactly what I thought too. The trick is not buying some huge floor model that costs as much as a used car. Get a small 2-liter or 3-liter benchtop unit for around a hundred bucks and keep it right where you can see it. I use mine way more than I expected - carb jets, old rusty bolts, even my wife's jewelry when she's not looking. The key is having it out in the open so you actually remember to use it, not buried under a pile of scrap metal. You clean one really nasty part and it pays for itself in saved elbow grease. What kind of stuff would you throw in one if you did get it?
