Took me 11 hours to chase a fuel leak that turned out to be a loose B-nut
Pulled the panel off a 172 last Tuesday thinking it was the sender gasket, but after 11 hours of wiping down the wing and running the engine twice, it was just a B-nut that needed a half turn with a flare wrench. Felt like an idiot until the old timer next bay over said he once did the same thing on a 206 for two days. Anyone got a good trick for spotting seeps on a dark ramp without burning through a whole roll of shop towels?
