That one week where every single torque wrench failed calibration
Last month we had a stretch where three different torque wrenches came back from the cal lab reading off by more than 10%. One was on a 737 flap actuator bolt that I almost signed off. Has anyone else seen a batch of wrenches go bad like that all at once?

Yeah, is this just a thing now where everything we rely on starts failing at once? I had my kitchen scale go haywire last month, and then the air pressure gauge in my car was off by 5 psi. Makes you wonder if there's some cheap manufacturing thing going on, like they're all using the same bad sensors or something.

Went down a rabbit hole on this and found out a lot of these sensors are using the same off-brand microchips from the same few factories in China. One bad batch can mess up scales, tire gauges, even blood pressure cuffs.
