That $80 borescope paid for itself on the first engine snag

I was chasing an oil leak on a Cessna 172 last month and couldn't see where it was coming from behind the accessory case. I had a cheap $80 borescope I picked up off Amazon sitting in my toolbox for almost a year. I finally pulled it out and found the leak was from a loose hose clamp on the oil cooler line. Saved me from pulling the whole cowling and spending a Saturday chasing shadows. That little camera is now part of my daily kit for looking into tight spots on Continental engines. Anyone else find a cheap tool that ended up being a lifesaver on the line?

Disagree man. That $80 could have bought a proper inspection mirror and saved you time learning a new tool.

Also, $80 is not some huge life changing amount of money @claire_ramirez22. It's literally a dinner out for two. People waste way more than that on things that don't even work.
