250 hours of sheet metal patching later and I finally realized why the old timers call riveting "zen with a gun"
Did that number hit anyone else like a brick wall when you added up your logbook time on just skin repairs alone, or am I the only one who got humbled by the math?

...and here I thought I was being productive until I realized I spent 250 hours just making the plane look less like a cheese grater. Really puts the "zen" part in perspective when you could've learned a new language instead.

Nah I'm not gonna lie I look at that number and think y'all are way too deep in the weeds. 250 hours on just skin repairs? That's like a whole season of binge watching something plus snacks and bathroom breaks. I mean yeah it's impressive but c'mon you could've built a whole new wing for that kind of time investment or at least learned how to weld properly so you don't have to patch so much. Feels like the old timers just like saying "zen" to make themselves feel better about spending a month of their life staring at rivets instead of just buying a new panel.
