My air fryer turned my Tuesday into a smoke alarm symphony

I threw in some frozen jalapeno poppers without checking the temp and walked away for 10 minutes last Tuesday. Came back to a kitchen that looked like a fog machine convention and three different smoke alarms going off in my apartment building. Has anyone else had their air fryer betray them with a simple snack that turned into a full hazmat situation?

Oh man, I feel your pain. What worked for me was setting a timer for half the recommended time and checking on it before adding more. Saved me from charring another batch of wings into hockey pucks.
