Just realized people are crowding the air fryer basket way too full

I saw my neighbor pack a whole bag of frozen fries in his basket the other day and they came out soggy, but if you leave enough room for the air to move around everything gets crispy and cooks in half the time.

Yeah the "crowding the basket" thing is real... I read somewhere that air fryers work like tiny convection ovens and if you pile stuff too high you basically trap the steam inside. That's why my first batch of chicken wings came out more steamed than crispy it was a total mess. I usually do like a single layer and shake halfway through and everything gets way more even. Your neighbor probably just needs to do two batches instead of one big pile but I know nobody wants to wait that long lol.

Shake halfway through and give them space, that's the whole secret right there.
