Burnt 14 wings in my air fryer in Boise because I trusted the preset button
My air fryer has a chicken preset that runs 400 degrees for 20 minutes and I hit it without thinking, so the wings came out black on the outside and pink at the bone. Now I pull them at 12 minutes and flip halfway, but I'm curious what temp and time everyone else swears by for drumettes.
400 for 20 minutes sounds like a preset made by someone who's never eaten a wing in their life. I do 380 for about 16, flip at 8, and they come out fine, but honestly it's just wings, if they're a little crispy who cares. Pink at the bone is normal for drumettes anyway, that's not the same as raw.
