Unpopular opinion: feeding AI models the same public dataset every time is like making soup from the same old bones and wondering why it tastes bland.

I was building a chatbot for my local library and kept getting generic answers until I realized I'd been ignoring the collection of patron questions and community history they had in their archives, so now I'm wondering how many of you actually dig up your own weird datasets instead of just using the usual ones?
