That chat with my buddy about AI writing tools really messed with my head
He told me he's been using GPT to draft all his work emails for 6 months and nobody noticed, which got me wondering how much of what I read online is actually written by a person versus a machine, has anyone else had that creepy realization about content they thought was human?

That first conversation where you realize it could be any comment or article really does mess with your head, I had that same moment a few months back and it still bugs me. I started noticing stuff like how some replies never use contractions or they have this weirdly perfect structure that just feels off, like a robot trying to sound human. It helps knowing other people are picking up on this too, makes it feel less like you're just being paranoid.

That line about "how much of what I read online is actually written by a person" really hit me. I've started looking at comments and articles differently now, like trying to spot telltale signs like overly perfect grammar or weirdly neutral phrasing. Honestly, my practical tip is to just assume a decent chunk of it is machine-generated, then double-check anything that feels too slick or generic. It's a weird headspace but at least you're not alone in noticing it.
