I used to spend 3 hours naming design files, now I just describe them and AI does it in seconds
Two years ago at my old job in Austin, I'd sit there typing out file names like 'logo_final_v3_approved_USE_THIS_ONE' and it ate up so much time. Now I just type a quick description and it spits out names that actually make sense and follow a pattern. It's not perfect, sometimes it gets weird with dates, but it's saved me hours. Anyone else using AI for boring stuff like this?
Watched a buddy of mine go through this exact thing last year. He runs a small print shop and had folders stuffed with stuff like "banner_final_FINAL2_edit.jpg" and it drove him nuts every time a client asked for a change. He started using AI to rename the whole mess and it sorted everything into a clean pattern by date and project. Took him one afternoon instead of a full weekend. He said the same thing you did, the dates get screwy sometimes and he has to fix a few by hand, but it still beat doing all of it himself.
