Hit 1000 downloads on my little AI tool this morning and it honestly caught me off guard
I built this tiny bot for sorting through job listings last month and it just crossed a thousand users, mostly from people actually finding it useful. Has anyone else had a side project take off way more than you expected?

Made sure to add a feedback button right away before the complaints piled in. That single change doubled my retention rate in the first week because people felt heard. Also set up a simple changelog page so users can see what's getting fixed or added without me having to write a whole blog post. Keeps the casual users happy and cuts down on support emails by a ton.

Oh man, that feedback button thing is smart but I gotta ask - how did you handle the initial flood of feedback when you first turned it on? In my experience, that first week can get overwhelming real fast if people are just dumping complaints without any structure. Did you use a simple form with categories or just a straight text box? I tried something similar once and got buried in random requests that were all over the place, so your mileage may vary, but I'm curious if you had any sorting system from day one or if you just powered through and figured it out as you went. The changelog page sounds like a lifesaver too, but I'd worry about keeping it updated consistently once the newness wears off.
