Dropped $150 on an AI meeting summarizer and it actually works
I work remote for a company in Denver and sit in like 8 Zoom calls a week. Got tired of scribbling notes while people talked over each other. So I bought this AI tool called Otter that summarizes everything in real time. Cost me $150 for the year plan. Thought it would be mostly garbage but it caught all the action items from a chaotic design review. My boss even asked how I started remembering deadlines so well. Only catch is it struggles with strong accents and mumbles. Anyone else using one of these tools and finding it actually worth the money?

Otter helped me keep track of all those action items I'd forget too, saved my bacon more than a few times.

I've been using Otter for about eight months now and I totally get what you're saying @jesseb20. One thing I don't see people talk about is how it actually helps you stay on track during the meeting itself. Like you're not worried about scribbling down every little thing because you know the transcript will catch it all. That frees you up to actually listen and ask better questions in real time. So it's not just about the notes later, it changes how you participate in the conversation right then and there.
