Burned $500 on an AI content generator that wrote like a robot
I bought into the hype of a 'revolutionary' AI writing tool last quarter, thinking it would save me hours on blog posts. Every article it spat out read like a bad translation from 2005. Has anyone found an AI tool that actually sounds like a human?

Same thing happened to me with a $350 tool last year. Called itself "AI for creators" but every paragraph read like a textbook from 1990. Had to rewrite everything it spit out anyway, so basically paid to give myself more work. @spencer_johnson22 nailed it with that "esteemed readers" crap - mine kept saying "it is worth noting that" every five sentences like some robot from a LinkedIn seminar. The only one that kind of works for me now is the free version of Claude for outlines but even that needs major editing to sound like a real person. These companies are just selling hype, man.

Dang bro $500?! That's rough. I dropped $200 on one of those and it kept calling everyone "esteemed readers" in every sentence like a bad infomercial from 1998. Tried tweaking the prompts for hours but it still sounded like a customer service bot having a stroke.
