Appreciation post: I saw an AI that can predict traffic jams 30 minutes before they happen
Last week in Atlanta, I watched a demo of a system called FlowNet that uses city camera feeds and historical data to spot congestion patterns. It actually flagged a slowdown on I-85 about 28 minutes before it showed up on any map app. Has anyone else seen a real-world AI tool that made you go, 'Okay, that's actually useful now'?

Yeah, that's the kind of stuff that finally feels real. I used a similar tool last month when I was driving to a concert. My phone buzzed with a warning from my maps app about a pile-up on the highway ahead, and it rerouted me down some side roads. I got there with time to spare while my friends, who left at the same time, got stuck for an extra hour. It's not just a cool demo anymore, it actually saves your afternoon.

My old Garmin never did that, but now I'm totally sold on live traffic updates.
