AI saved my old photo scanning project after 3 failed attempts

I spent last summer using a flatbed scanner for my mom's old shoebox of family photos from the 1970s. It took forever and the colors came out faded no matter what I tried. Last week I used an AI photo restoration app called Remini on my phone and it fixed the lighting and scratches in about 10 seconds per picture. Has anyone else found a reliable way to batch process old prints with AI without losing quality?

Bought a $30 scanner and called it a day.

Man that's cool you got it working with Remini. @reese177 a cheap scanner will get you the digital file but it won't fix the damage. I had a stack of old Polaroids from my dad's side that were all faded and had those white spots you see in old prints. I ended up using a free program called Upscayl on my computer for the resolution and then touched up the color in something simple like Photos app on Windows. Batch processing is tricky though because every picture is different. I ended up just doing them one by one while watching TV because the AI kept making my grandpa's face look weird if I let it run wild.
