I used to think AI art was just a cool trick until I saw my friend's face on a fake album cover.

He's a musician and someone posted an AI image of him as a 70s rockstar. It looked real. But he was upset, said it felt like stealing his vibe without asking. That tipped me off. I was sharing AI pics of people's styles without a thought. Now I get why artists are mad. Do you think there's a line between inspiration and just taking someone's look?

So where's the line? When you copy a haircut it's a style, but when an AI copies a whole person's vibe it's just a fancy way to steal homework.

The 70s rockstar album cover is a perfect example. Your friend's vibe isn't a haircut you can copy at the barber, it's his whole thing. Asking an AI to do it is like photocopying someone's soul and calling it a tribute band.
