Yeah the 'exactly like my grandma's kitchen' line got me. Was there a crocheted doily on the ticket counter and a jar of hard candies next to the schedule board? I mean maybe it's just me but that sounds more like a fever dream than a real train station. Old train stations usually smell like stale coffee and diesel fumes, not like Sunday pot roast. But hey if the floor had that weird linoleum pattern from the 70s then I guess I could see the resemblance.
