That old grain silo near Topeka finally collapsed last month
I've been driving past that leaning silo on Route 24 for about 6 years now, always stopping to snap a few pics each summer, and it was still standing in March but then a big storm took it down in April. The before pics show this massive rusted hulk against the flat Kansas sky, and the after is just a pile of corrugated steel and broken concrete slabs that looks almost like a sculpture. Has anyone else watched a landmark deteriorate for years and then vanish in one weather event, and how do you document that timeline without being there every day?

Six years of watching that thing and it took one April storm to finish it, that is wild to wrap my head around.
