Spent 45 minutes looking for a door that used to be there
Found an old county hospital up near Rockford last weekend. Been abandoned since the early 2000s. I remembered visiting there with my grandma back in 1998 and there was this side entrance by the cafeteria. Walked around the whole east wing three times trying to find it. Finally realized they bricked it up completely and painted over the bricks to match. Took me over an hour to spot the outline where the door frame used to be. Anyone else waste time looking for stuff in abandoned buildings that just isn't there anymore?

That place sounds like it's fighting back against memory lane... I had the same thing happen at an old factory my buddy swore had a fire escape on the north wall. Walked around three times before I noticed the outline was just a different shade of rust on the bricks. Spent more time looking for the door than I did exploring the rest of the building, felt like a real dummy.
