I was about to leave a 1908 hotel empty-handed when he pointed out that a bricked-up window frame usually means the inside wall got sealed too, and sure enough there was a whole row of original transom windows behind the newer drywall. Has anyone else gotten intel from a local that changed how they walk a building?
