Found out my 'haunted' favorite spot is actually a 1962 missile silo, and the tour guide thing makes sense now
I've been photographing this concrete bunker outside Roswell for two years and always assumed it was some old farm storage. A guy at a flea market saw my prints and told me it's a Atlas F missile site from 1962, which explains the weird blast doors I could never get open. Now I'm wondering how many other spots I've been shooting without knowing what they actually were. Has anyone else found out a place they love had a totally different past than they thought?
