Counted 87 different pieces of graffiti in one abandoned factory outside Detroit

I was poking around this old automotive plant near Flint last weekend that's been empty since the 80s. The place is massive, probably 200,000 square feet of crumbling concrete and rusted machinery. I started noticing all the tags and murals on the walls, some dated back to the late 90s, others looked fresh from maybe a year ago. Out of curiosity, I took a photo of every single one I could find in one section. Ended up with 87 distinct pieces, names, dates, little drawings, even a faded quote from some band I never heard of. It hit me that this place isn't just abandoned, it's like a public art gallery that nobody officially runs. Has anyone else ever counted something random like that in a spot you visited?

Were those 87 pieces mostly just tags and names or did you run into any full on murals that took some real skill? I found a spot in Gary once where someone spent days shading a wolf's face using only spray cans and it was better than some gallery stuff I've seen. Makes me wonder if the really good artists leave their best work in places like that because they know nobody's gonna buff it out.

Right, reminds me of a skeleton in a top hat I saw under a bridge that took the whole damn wall to get right.

@loganhart yeah @seth_green85 that skeleton sounds like it was a proper labor of love.
