Checked out that old train station in Joliet last Tuesday. The silence hit different.

Makes you wonder about all the people who passed through there. That kind of quiet feels heavy.

The old train station in my town gets like that sometimes. I don't find it heavy though, more like peaceful. All those stories are just part of the place now, like the worn wood on the benches. That quiet feels full, not empty.
