Visited my grandpa's old one-room schoolhouse last weekend
The building is still standing out near Kickapoo Creek, just a shell now with an old bell tower. I found a 1951 yearbook stuffed in a desk drawer that had all their names handwritten next to grainy photos. Anyone else ever stumble across stuff like this in weird old places?

Is it just me, or does finding old stuff like that feel like you're peeking into a whole different world where people actually took time to write everything down by hand? There's something special about those physical artifacts that a digital photo just can't capture.

Ha! I see it COMPLETELY different honestly. Yeah handwritten stuff has charm but digital photos let you preserve SO much more context and detail. Like I found my grandma's old recipe box and half the cards were stained and torn with missing ingredients. A digital scan would have actually saved those recipes properly for future generations. Plus think about it - handwriting fades, paper rots, but a good digital archive lasts forever with perfect copies.
