TIL that a 1950s frozen TV dinner cost just 98 cents back then

I was going through my grandma's old recipe box and found a 1954 Swanson ad showing the first TV dinner for 98 cents, which is like $11 today with inflation. Has anyone else run across old price tags that make you do a double take?

My buddy Steve found a 1956 grocery receipt from his grandpa's attic - whole cart of stuff for like $8. A dozen eggs were 39 cents. Made me feel old and young at the same time.

Eggs under 40 cents? Does he still remember the taste?
