Shoutout to the old photo dealer at the Rose Bowl flea market
I was digging through a bin of loose snapshots in Pasadena last spring when he pulled out a 1954 diner shot and just said, "This one has a story, kid." He spent 20 minutes telling me how the customers in the photo were regulars who chipped in for the waitress's funeral, and I still think about that whenever I look at the print. Anyone else ever had a seller change how you see a simple snapshot like that?
