My dad's 1954 Philco TV finally gave up the ghost last night
It was working fine for years, then just let out a weird hum and the screen went dark. Anyone know a repair guy in Ohio who still works on tube sets?

Man that's a bummer, my uncle had one of those old Philcos and it was a tank until the day it just stopped humming one night. I don't know anyone in Ohio personally, but try posting on the Antique Radio Forums, those guys know every tube repair guy in the Midwest.

The Antique Radio Forums are solid but most of those guys are getting pretty old now, you might have better luck on Facebook in one of the vintage radio groups since there's younger guys on there who still do house calls.
