Found a 1953 diner menu tucked in my late uncle's toolbox in Amarillo, prices are wild
I was going through my uncle's old Kennedy toolbox in Amarillo and found a menu from the Koffee Kup Cafe dated June 1953. A full turkey dinner was 85 cents and coffee was a dime, with a note that pie was free on Sundays. What got me was a handwritten line at the bottom that said "back at 2, ask for Marge." I want to know if anyone else has found menus or receipts tucked inside old tools, and what the story was behind them.
