Dad's old Firestone tires nearly killed me on the way to work
I was flying down 95 outside Richmond when the right rear blew at 65 mph. Swerved into the median but walked away, and now I don't trust any rubber from before 1960.

And here I thought "vintage" only applied to wine and vinyl records, not your car's death traps. Seriously though, glad you walked away. My grandpa used to say if it's older than your dad, it's probably got more secrets than a locked attic. But really, who knew Firestone was making tires that belonged in a museum? At least now you've got a good story for the next tailgate. Maybe stick to tires from this decade, yeah? They might not look as cool but at least they won't try to send you into a ditch.
